Wow. Here I am. Blogging again. I figured, why not? I have enjoyed blogging and I know that several people discover me through my blog before. I figured I might as well just give a little update on things. First and foremost, I am no longer in Florida! It’s crazy, a little different, but I must say that Florida was not for me. I did enjoy my time there. I worked for a lot of great companies (I worked for the Big Three: Universal, SeaWorld, and Walt Disney World) as well as some different firms (a web hosting company and a mortgage company). I also bought a house. Why? I don’t know. I was stupid. It wasn’t the best idea I ever had, but I figured I was just going to stay there.
I moved back north – this time to the Chicago suburbs. It reminds me a bit of what I’m used to in the Cleveland suburbs. Last night it started snowing and it was the first snow of the year! I’m actually pretty excited because I haven’t seen snow in years! Well, that’s sort of a lie. I saw some when I was in Denver and last year when I was up in Chicago. But this is the first time I got to really experience it.
Steven and I found a nice apartment that looks like a ranch-style house on the inside. It’s pretty big too. Square footage is almost nearly as much as my townhouse which makes me pretty happy. It has a fireplace (which is going to be great this winter), large kitchen and dining room, two beds and two baths (we needed to move and we weren’t impressed with the other locations, plus we use the second room as an office). It’s great to finally have a place that feels more “home-y”. I gotta say, I don’t mind paying the rent here. Hopefully soon, though, we’ll have a real house again. I do miss having some control.
Anyways, that is all for now. I am going to go enjoy the snow and see what the dog is up to.
